English as a Second Language Certificate

The focus of 精东传媒's English as a Second Language (ESL) Certificate is to offer graduate students and working professionals a more in-depth understanding of working with our K12 English language learners, that is comprehensive and evidence-based. Graduate students and professionals can use this knowledge in the field to better serve our K12 EL population. The certificate consists of 12 credits (4 courses) and all courses are offered fully online.

Prospective students may apply for admissions to the Graduate Certificate programs throughout the year.

For consideration, applicants must submit the following to the Office of Graduate Admissions (the same admissions requirements apply to students who will enroll to only one course):

1. A completed application - 
2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (undergraduate degree must be from an accredited college or university)
3. An original essay of at least 250 words on the topic: “Why A Graduate Certificate in English as a Second Language is important to my personal and professional goals."
4. A current resume
5. Two recommendations - 
6. A signed .
